Bath & Body Works Autumnal Haul

IMG_4640.JPG

Hi, my name’s Felicia and I’m an autumn-aholic.

Okay, but in all seriousness, I’m a teensy tiny bit addicted to autumn. It’s my favourite season after all. And what better way to fully embrace the autumn spirit than to fill your house with glorious scents of pumpkin and apple delight! Bath & Body Works is my go-to for candles and other home-related scents, even though I’m slowly warming up to Yankee Candle too. I just think their scents and the designs of their candles are so lovely, and they’ve typically got great sales going on.

Since I’ve returned from Florida, I’ve done two separate trips to Bath & Body Works and spent a bundle each time… Oops. I’ve bought quite a few lovely autumnal things that I thought I’d share with you guys today as a) I love sharing the autumnal joy and b) I haven’t done a haul post in quite some time. So let’s get right into it, shall we?

IMG_4641.JPG

Stress Relief 3-Wick Candle [x] - This was the first of two replacement candles I purchased, as two of my favs were nearly completely burnt out. This candle has a lovely scent of eucalyptus and spearmint that is soo soothing. I usually burn this candle while I’m studying or doing homework, as a little way to keep my stress levels down while I get to work. I’ve found it’s really made an improvement to the whole experience!

Mahogany Apple 3-Wick Candle [x] - Surprisingly, this my boyfriend’s favourite scent of the Bath & Body Works collection and this is the second of the two replacement candles - he nearly burnt his entire first candle in this scent. My boyfriend is not at all into candles or scents at all for that matter, but this one is an exception. It’s a mix of mahogany woods, golden apple, pink peppercorn, and fresh lavender sprigs.

Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow 3-Wick Candle [x] - Prior to this year, I’ve been very anti-pumpkin (I know, I know, I’m in the minority). I’ve never liked anything pumpkin before, except for as decor, so I never gave pumpkin-scented candles much attention. But this year I thought I’d branch out and give them a try. After a bit of a browsing, I realized I do like some pumpkin candles after all! This was one of the ones I loved most - I really liked about 4 but could only afford to buy a couple haha. It’s got a delicious scent of vanilla, pumpkin spice, homemade marshmallow, and caramel that really smells like a confectionary to me. It’s very sweet, but wonderful.

Pumpkin Apple 3-Wick Candle [x] - This had to be my absolute favourite pumpkin-scent in the entire store. It’s a mix of red delicious apples, pumpkin, cinnamon, and clove buds. I’m not usually big on cinnamon, in fact certain levels of cinnamon make me a bit nauseous, but I find it hardly noticeable in this candle, more of a background note. I’ve burnt this one the most so far and can see it running out before the season is done if I’m quite honest!

IMG_4642.JPG

I’ve also become quite the connoisseur of car scents in the past few months after I discovered the Yankee Candle scents (which you can read about in my Recent Favourites post). How did I not know until now that Bath & Body Works sells car scents?! The Car Scentportables are so cool because you first buy a little vent clip (there are a ton of cute designs, mine is a rosy gold one) and then you buy refills to put in the holder. The refills come at about $3.50 a piece, but there was a 4/$10 sale going on when I was at the store so I bought 4 :) I like how you can buy any refill you like, which means that as the seasons change, so can my scents! (You can buy my holder here).

Car Scentportables Pumpkin Apple Refill [x] - Of course I bought the Pumpkin Apple scent for my car!! It’s autumn (almost) after all! I’m sure this will be the first one I use, once I’ve gone through my Yankee Candle scents.

Car Scentportables Sweater Weather Refill [x] - Oddly enough, I don’t actually have the Sweater Weather candle, even though I love the scent. It smells of fresh sage, juniper berry, aromatic eucalyptus, and fresh woods - so it’s a very nature scent, which I really like.

Car Scentportables Flannel Refill [x] - Girl I love me some Flannel. Is this anyone else’s fav autumn scent?! I have it in a hand soap too and oh my goshhh it’s heaven. The fragrance is crisp autumn air, bergamot, heirloom mahogany, and soft musk.

Car Scentportables Vanilla Bean Refill [x] - And, of course, I had to pick up a lovely vanilla scent because I’m a major vanilla fan. I feel like this would be a good anytime scent for any season, in-between trips to Bath & Body Works to get new refills!

Let’s see how long I can go before I’ve burnt out every candle and gone through every scentportable lol…

Walt Disney World Haul 2018

CDCB8C72-688A-4959-ADC3-43E44D1A33D5-1000.jpg

As you probably know if you've been following my Instagram or read my latest blog post, I recently spent time in Walt Disney World, celebrating my 20th birthday (which you can read about here). While I was there, I got completely pulled into the merchandise trap which is pretty much the least surprising thing ever haha. So I thought I'd share with you guys some of the things I picked up!

6E3E8391-4CF7-4244-AE96-51247D9C66E7-1000.jpg

Pumpkin Antenna Topper - When I first arrived in Disney, they had just put out all the Halloween decorations and merchandise around the parks. On our first day there, we went to Disney Springs and I found myself in Halloween HEAVEN. The first thing I picked up was this adorable pumpkin Mickey antenna topper. Currently, I have a regular Minnie Mouse topper but I thought this would be a cute change for the fall season. On the back of this topper, it says 'Hey, Pumpkin' which is just the cutest thing ever!! I literally can't wait to pop this on my car.

Mickey Ghost Mug - The other Halloween thing I bought while I was at the parks was this incredible Mickey mug. How cute is this?! It's a ghost Mickey and on the back it says 'Boo To You'. I already have wayyyyy too many mugs but honestly, this was a necessary addition to my collection. I love all things Halloween themed and they had an amazing variety this year. It's getting me so excited for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in October!

Journal - I hemmed and hawed a lot before deciding to buy this journal, but it was one of the best purchases I made. This beautiful hardcover journal is covered in retro-looking Walt Disney World logos and designs and has Mickey silhouettes on the pages. I picked this up after deciding that I wanted to keep a journal of all my Disney stays as a memory book. This was the perfect pick, in my opinion, and I can't wait to get writing!

Starbucks 'You Are Here' Hollywood Studios Mug - I'm sure you guys have seen the You Are Here mugs at Starbucks before, they're pretty popular and usually have a city/state/province on them with a cute lil design. Starbucks has a Disney World collection, as well as a Disneyland collection. I already have the Epcot and Magic Kingdom mugs, so I picked up the Hollywood Studios one this trip - and now I've only got the Animal Kingdom one left, and then I've got the entire set!

Rose Gold Phone Case - I fell in love with this the moment I saw it. Rose gold is my favourite and this is no exception. This bad boy has a little clasp on it and opens up to be a wallet with a few card slots as well as a window one, which makes it perfect for holding my Disney Annual Pass and my i.d. for getting discounts in the park. And, of course, it holds my phone. Hooray for multi-purposeful pretty merch!!

New Fantasyland Mystery Pin Pack - On my birthday, I decided to treat myself to this adorable mystery pack. It comes with two Beauty and the Beast themed mystery pins, which are themed to the Beauty and the Beast area of the New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. I got the pin of Belle walking away from her house while reading (which I unfortunately already own) and the three Bimbettes sitting in Gaston's Tavern. They're super cute!! Can't wait to add them to my collection.

2018 and Epcot pins - Following the pin trend, I bought two more! Shocker, lol. I bought a Walt Disney World 2018 pin with Minnie Mouse on it, as I used to collect yearly pins when I visited as a child but I stopped for a few years which I massively regret. So I'm back to collecting annual Disney pins! I also picked up this super cute Epcot pin, which features icons of the major rides (Spaceship Earth, Mission Space, Test Track, etc.) and has a super cute Mickey on it! I saw it once about a week ago and then it was sold out nearly everywhere I looked until I finally found this one - and it was the last one there! Phew haha

Disney H20 Sea Salt Body Lotion - Because Disney H20 products are the cutest ever and remind me of the resorts, I took a few of the complimentary hand lotions home *shrugs*. I'm gonna have to pop one of these into my school bag so I can apply this in class and miss Disney and cry all semester lol

Haunted Mansion & Halloween MagicBands - Last, but certainly not least, I picked up these two lovely MagicBands! The Haunted Mansion one has a Ghost Host uniform on one side and Ghost Hostess uniform on the other! The Halloween one is decorated in a few of the characters dressed for Halloween, some ghosts and candy, and an orange castle!

I've only been back for a little while and I'm already ready to go back! Post-Disney depression is real :(

Beauty + Skincare Haul

IMG_2579.JPG

Seeing as I forgot to post on Wednesday (I'm on vacay time *shrugs*), I thought I'd sneak in a lil special post today to make up for it!

Ever since I've arrived in Florida, which was only just under a week ago, I have visited Target twice. Twice. Let me repeat that for those who didn't hear. T W I C E. I'll also disclose that there is no Target under 30 mins away. So it's a trek. But it's worth it.

I love shopping in the U.S. as there are so many things here that we can't get in Canada (or things that are cheaper there than back home...) so it's like a totally different experience. I love poking around the beauty departments of different stores, checking out what sorts of things they've got in stock that we don't have back home or stuff that we just don't see a lot of. With that comes a lot of splurging, I'll be honest. So, from my over-excessive purchasing, I thought I'd do a bit of a haul post of the beauty and skincare items that I've picked up over the last few days!

IMG_2581.JPG

The first few things I purchased came from, you guessed it, Target. My beloved.

E.l.f. Cosmetics Contour Brush [x] - Having a little look around the e.l.f. display at Target, I found that they have a lot more brushes available in store than we typically get at my small town drugstore back home. So, I treated myself to this snazzy contour brush which was only $6 usd. I love me a good, inexpensive e.l.f. brush and this was just the sort of thing I needed.

E.l.f. Cosmetics Eyelash Curler [x] - This eyelash curler was only $2 usd!!!! Can you believe that? I knew that I needed a new eyelash curler and was dreading buying one because I didn't want to spend the $10 on one (I know, I can be weirdly frugal sometimes). But at just $2, there was no buyer's remorse here!

E.l.f. Cosmetics Eyebrow Kit in Medium [x] - Of course, I had to repurchase this fab eyebrow kit. I've talked about this over, and over again. I'd started to run out of this just before I arrived in Florida, so I definitely had to go pick this up. The kit costs $3 usd.

E.l.f. Cosmetics Kabuki Face Brush [x] - I've always wanted a kabuki brush, but had never come across one I liked and couldn't be bothered to order one online from e.l.f., so seeing this at Target made my day! I love how multi-purposeful this brush is, and also how compact it is as well. This brush cost $5.49 usd.

NYX Matte Bronzer in Medium [x] - I was in the market for a new bronzer, one of a darker shade, now that I'll be getting a tan (hopefully soon). This one is just lovely. It's a matte bronzer, which is perfect as shimmer would not look great mixed with sweat which is pretty inevitable in Florida. This bronzer set me back $6.29 usd.

Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in Molten Gold [x] - I picked this highlighter up sort of on a whim, after briefly hearing someone rave about it on Twitter. I've already used it and I actually LOVE it!! It's so vibrant and gorgeous. I feel like a sun goddess whenever I wear it hahaha. This bad boy cost $7.49 usd.

IMG_2580.JPG

The second, and last stop, I made for purchases was at Ulta Beauty, the American cosmetics shop.

Not Your Mother's She's A Tease Volumizing Hairspray [x] - I've already purchased this a few times before - as I'm sure you remember, I've raved about Not Your Mother's products time and time again. I was in desperate need of a hairspray after facing the horror of humidity once again, so I picked up this lovely hairspray which cost $7 usd.

Formula 10.0.6 Keep Your Cool Skin-Calming Gel Mask [x] - A few weeks ago, I saw a girl post her skincare routine on Twitter and she included a handful of Formula 10.0.6 products. Seeing how lovely her skin was, I definitely had to try this brand out! This was the first thing I picked up - a lovely coconut and cucumber gel mask. I looked at some of the peel-off masks, but frankly, they sort of scare me, lol. This mask cost $7 usd.

Formula 10.0.6 P.M. Perfector [x]The other Formula 10.0.6 item I picked up was the P.M. Perfector. I really wanted to find a new nighttime face cream, so I thought I'd try this one. It's got blackcurrant and licorice in it (??) which is kind of odd but I'm hoping it's not too bizarre of a scent! This nighttime cream set me back $9 usd.

And that's all for now! I'm very excited to try out all these lovely bits of skincare and beauty products, and I'm hoping they live up to my expectations!

What new products have you guys tried recently?

Mini Homeware, Bath + Clothing Haul

img_1469.jpg

Looking back on the history of this blog, I am fairly certain that I have never written a haul blog post. Isn't that crazy??? I mean, I rarely have the money to buy myself that many things anyway, so I guess it's not that much of a surprise lol but still!!! Today, however, I've got a mini haul post to share with you all after taking a successful trip down to the mall.

img_1470.jpg

The first thing I picked up were these candle holders from Bath & Body Works. My mum and I have been on the hunt for candle holders for about a month or so, as we needed a lil something to decorate the mantlepiece and these were just perfect!! They easily fit Bath & Body Works candles, as well as candles from other brands that are the same size. Definitely a nice addition to our living room.

img_1472.jpg

Next up, I grabbed these Ultra High Rise Jeggings from Garage. I promise they're different shades of blue!!! Garage jeans are by far my fav for two reasons: 1) they're SUPER high-waisted which I find flatters me way better than low-rise jeans and 2) they're stretchy and crazy comfortable. They were actually having a BOGO 50% off sale, so it was the perf time to buy some new jeans which I needed so badly.

img_1471.jpg

My last purchases were from Lush. The first thing I picked up was the Pink Bath Bomb, which is shimmery and has a wonderful candy & vanilla scent. Kinda worried about the shimmer, just because I don't want the sparkles clinging to my tub, but hopefully it will be ok. I seriously cannot wait to hop into a bath and just soak in this!!! I also grabbed the Eau Roma Water, which I've heard a lot about and have been dying to try out. It's a toner with rose water and lavender in it, which is geared towards 'mature, sensitive or dry skin' which is perf for me. I'm v excited to give this a try!

Have you tried any of these products before? Lemme know in the comments!

What I Got For Christmas (+ Life Update)

img_0958.jpg

Hello everybody! Merry Christmas to you! I hope that you all had a wonderful day yesterday with your family and your loved ones. I love to read other people's 'What I Got for Christmas' posts. I don't know about you, but there's something so lovely about hearing people so excited to share what they were gifted. I know that some people find these posts to be braggy, but I don't think that at all. I love haul posts, and why should these kind of posts be any different? I def don't want to come off as a 'show off' or anything. I am genuinely so grateful for everything that everyone gifted me. I have the most generous, kind, giving family and boyfriend ever - not to brag or anything haha. If you're as nosy as I am about what others receive for Christmas, then keep reading to hear about some of the things I was gifted this holiday season!

Kate Spade Cameron Street Perforated Large Lanemy boyfriend gifted me this beautiful red-wine-coloured Kate Spade purse. I'm in love! It's the perfect size for day-to-day outings (shopping, going out for coffee, etc.) and I love that it has a shoulder strap. I especially love the perforated rose decal on the purse's exterior. My parents also gifted me the matching wallet so now I feel very put together when I'm out and about!

Soap and Glory The Righteous ButterI mentioned my love for The Righteous Butter back in my September Favourites post. I won't go too much into this one since I've already done so in my favourites post. My parents slipped this into my stocking this year and I was so jazzed when I found it in there! Haha. I already have a tub of this, but I asked for another so that I wouldn't run out anytime soon.

Funko PopsI got a ton of Funko Pops this Christmas. I've been making a list of them that I want to collect for months now and I've already got a whole set-up planned out in my head, so I'm glad to finally have some to get started with! I received Belle (Beauty and the Beast 2017), Maui (Moana),Dale Cooper (Twin Peaks), Lorelai Gilmore(Gilmore Girls), Rory Gilmore(Gilmore Girls), and Sookie St. James(Gilmore Girls). I have a lot of organizing to do!

Juniper BooksIf you've never heard of Juniper Books before, you're missing out. Juniper sells custom books and collections - essentially hardcover books with beautiful front covers and dust jackets. I fell in love with them earlier this year and received a bunch from my boyfriend for my birthday. But this holiday, my parents bought me three Charles Dickens books - Great Expectations, Bleak House, and A Tale of Two Cities from the Make Your Own Literary Classics set.

Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask to Rescue Problem SkinI am very very very excited to use this product! I have heard really good things about this face mask and Origins as a brand. You may know through previous posts that I have been having some pretty substantial issues with my skin as of late.... in short, my skin and I are not simpatico at the moment. Hopefully, this mask comes to the rescue!

Too Faced Peach Blur Translucent Smoothing Finishing PowderI just love Too Faced's peach products. Don't we all? The Sweet Peach palette is something I constantly reach for in my makeup drawer, and now I'm excited to add this powder to my collection. I've already used this a couple of times and I absolutely love it.

I cannot describe how grateful I am for everything I received this year. My parents have always been very generous with their gift-giving and I am so glad that I'm old enough to give back to them every Christmas season - with gifts bigger than 'DIY soup in a jar' (yup, my parents received that about 11 years ago - be jelly).

On another note, I thought I'd quickly update all of you on what's going on in my little world. Posts are going to be more disorganized for the next couple weeks as I am currently on vacay with my parents and my boyfriend in Orlando, Florida! I'm trying to write out some posts while I have a free moment, but obviously, it's been go-go-go ever since we touched down in Orlando on Christmas and I can't keep up like I usually can. I will write up some posts on what I've gotten up to and hopefully upload those soon... It's moments like these that make me wonder if I should start posting again on my YouTube channel.....

I'll def see you guys before the New Year but until then, have a wonderful holiday break!

P.S. I'd love to hear what you guys got for Christmas! Lemme know in the comments :)
