February TBR

Hello everybody! Happy February to all! I've officially caught my first cold of this cold/flu season. Yippee. So, if any of you were wondering why I've been AWOL on here lately, it's because I've been slowly - and I do mean slowly - recovering from that. But I'm officially back!

On the bright side, it's a new month and with a new month comes new books to read!!!! I'm very excited about this month's TBR. I've got a little taste of everything, including a couple of books that I've been waiting a long time to read.

Here are the books I'll be reading in February...

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli ~ The first time I ever heard of this book was a long time ago. It was recommended to me by my boyfriend's brother about a year ago. By then, I had already heard of it, but for some reason, I thought it was a fantasy/sci-fi novel (God knows why). Anyway, after he recommended it to me, I had all intentions of giving it a go, but then I forgot all about it - until I recently saw the Love, Simon trailer. After that, I googled it and found it was based on this book. I promised myself I'd read this before I saw the film in March, so here we are!

The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher ~ I have been wanting to read this book since it came out. My mum read it when it was first released and, like Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, I had planned to read it as soon as possible. But then I forgot. Gah. It didn't come to mind until more recently when someone suggested to me that I should read a nonfiction novel. So, I'm very excited to finally be reading it in February.

Under Rose-Tainted Skies by Louise Gornall ~ I have seen many bloggers and Instagrammers alike rave about this book. I don't actually know much about it - other than it's a young adults novel that discusses mental illness. That was more than enough to get me interested. I haven't read many young adults novels - or adult ones, for that matter - that deal with mental illness. As it is so important of a topic for me, I'm really eager to dive into this book.

The Help by Kathryn Stocketts ~ This has been on my TBR for ageeees. Like, I'm talking years. As you may have read in my January Book Reviews post, I mentioned that I was disappointed that I'd watched the film Bridget Jones's Diary before I read the book. Wellllllllll buckle up 'cause I've done it once again, this time with The Help. Oops. Hopefully this time I'm not let down by the book!

Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple ~ I'm finally going to do it. After humming-and-hawing over this book for the longest time, I'm finally going to read it. I feel like everyone and their mother has read this book. I've heard a lot of good things, I just wasn't sure if this one was for me. But I was passing through the bookstore the other day - as always - and it caught my eye and here we are! I'll be giving this one a shot this month. Hopefully it lives up to all the hype!

I can't wait to dive into these five books and I'll be back to share with all of you reviews of each and every one of them at the end of the month!
